This year we are at the Jonge Harten Theater Festival for the long awaited premiere of DYING TOGETHER / Futures!
DYING TOGETHER | Futures is the third and last part of the triptych DYING TOGETHER; an artistic practice in which we, as a team, relate to the notion of togetherness by examining moments of collective death together with audiences.
We Are Warming Up. Like the rest of the world. But what does that mean? And, what does it do with us? From 26 to 30 October the Warming Up Festival takes place in Tolhuistuin Amsterdam. Building Conversation is part of the program with RIZOOM.
This may, Building Conversation is a guest at Uniarts Helsinki. Together with dramaturg and curator Florian Malzacher, Lotte van den Berg gives a workshop. During the workshop Lotte will explore what embodied learning & physical thinking mean for our work and take a closer look at the works Dying together and RIZOOM in specific. During this week, Lotte wil also participate in The Arts of Assembly, XVII Assembling Knowledge.
During BoskLab and international performing arts festival PAFFF, Building Conversation continues working on RHIZOME. In the city centre of Leeuwarden, the walking forest Bosk is the starting point for further exploration. In the city, too, nature and culture are inextricably connected. What happens when we stop trying to pull the two apart and pay attention to the way we, human beings, are entangled with everything around us; skin and fibers, iron and leaf.
After the premiere in Kortrijk, A CURSE POEM will be passed on in several cities. First stop is Ghent where A CURSE POEM is part of OPENBARE WERKEN. OPENBARE WERKEN (‘public works’) is an artistic journey of discovery where Kunstencentrum Vooruit connects artists and their work with the city and its inhabitants.

Starting From the beginning of 2020, Building Conversation has a workspace in Ter Apel. Abandoned forty years ago, the potato starch factory is overrun by trees, mosses and creepers. Roofs are falling in. Walls are collapsing. Here, we go to work by not-doing and not-acting. We leave the transformation process that begun decades ago undisturbed. […]
In 2015, Cinéma Imaginaire by Lotte van den Berg premiered; a performance made by spectators who are challenged to make an imaginary film that will only exist in their heads. An invitation to experience reality in an unusual way and to look for new perspectives. Suddenly, without anyone noticing, reality turns into fiction. Two years […]
