The Gathering
Building Conversation has long had the desire to organize itself as a dynamic regenerative system. A platform for dialogic art, where we connect initiatives and work in diverse forms. A place where we bring people and ideas together and share our inspiration with each other. A fertile ground where we can enrich and explore our eclectic mix of dialogic practices.
Where we can sow and nurture what connects us. Where we can move each other, be together, play, meet, understand each other (or don’t), slow down, make plans, build a nest. Where we can harvest.
From Friday, September 29th to Sunday, October 1st, we will host a new edition of The Gathering and set up a Building Conversation atelier at the regenerative estate
Yügen Forest. In this atelier, we will explore how we can shape ourselves as a sustainable ecosystem and we investigate which new forms want to be developed in the near future.
Practical Information
When | Friday, September 29th, 7:00 PM, to Sunday, October 1st, 5:00 PM.
Where | Regenerative estate Yügen Forest (Vossemeerdijk 6, 8251 PN Dronten, Netherlands).
Accessibility | The nearest train station is Dronten. We will pick up those traveling by public transport from there. If you wish to carpool, you can coordinate in the group chat*.
Accommodation | We will have our own camping spot on the premises. Bring a tent or let us know in the group chat if you’d like to share a tent with someone else.
Meals | Yügen Forest will provide us with delicious vegetarian meals featuring fresh vegetables from the land (snacks on Friday evening / breakfast, lunch, dinner on Saturday / breakfast and lunch on Sunday).
Program | In September, we will put together the program with a working group.

Participation | Send an email to
famke@buildingconversation.nl to let us know you’d like to join. The number of spots is limited (max. 20 participants), so if you want to attend, don’t wait too long to register. We will announce the participation fee as soon as possible and keep it as accessible as possible. If the fee is an issue for you, your registration email doesn’t commit you to anything. We can also together look at options with you.
Presence | You’ll have the best experience if you can stay for the entire weekend. We feel that this is also the best for the group. If you’re unable to attend at certain times, let Famke know so we can explore possibilities together.
*We will create a WhatsApp group with all participants, where people can coordinate carpooling, tents, etc.
